Rate of pay: $16/hour
Hours: 24 hours per week

Job Description:
Create and provide a safe, caring and fun classroom environment within a culturally friendly childcare program for children ages 6 months - 5 years old while their parents attend classes through the IRCNOCO adult education program.  Train and support the volunteers and work-study staff who work with Little Learners and coordinate weekly scheduling to ensure proper childcare coverage for each of the classes in the program.

Essential Job Duties:

Coordinates, trains, and supports volunteer and work-study staff 

  • Organizes weekly class schedule for mulitple classes at two campus locations to provide sufficient staffing 

  • Facilitates classroom activities and lessons for children ages 6 months - 5 years

  • Implements child registration process 

  • Tracks and reports class attendance

  • Maintain schedules in volunteer management system 

  • Recruits new volunteers as needed 

  • Collaborates with community outreach partners 

  • Maintains, organizes, and cleans classroom

Preferred Qualifications/Interests:  

  • Previous experience coordinating staff schedules, training and supporting staff

  • Previous experience working with children and planning age-appropriate activities  

  • Enjoys working with children of all ages and from different cultures  

  • Works well as a team leader - implementing and supervising the program
